Khandesh College Education Society’s College of Engineering and Management (CoEM), Jalgaon was established in 2001 under the aegis of the Khandesh College Education Society (KCES), Jalgaon, one of the most prestigious and oldest educational societies in the Khandesh region, famous for its rich legacy, dynamic growth and academic excellence.
The institute is situated in the center of Jalgaon city, which is a fast growing educational and commercial city with a population of more than five lakh. The city is well connected through the Central Railway line between Mumbai – Howrah and Delhi – Mumbai. Jalgaon is well connected with major industrial and commercial cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Surat, Ahmedabad, Aurangabad and Indore. The city is especially renowned for its proximity to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ajanta Caves, located approximately 55 km away, and is widely recognized as the “Banana City of India” and a prominent gold jewellery market.
The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, and approved by the Government of Maharashtra. The institute is also accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), reflecting its commitment to quality education, academic excellence, research, innovation, and continuous institutional improvement.
In recognition of its sustained academic performance and commitment to excellence, the institute has been granted Autonomous Status for Engineering Programs from Academic Year 2025–26 to 2029–30 and Autonomous Status for Management Programs from Academic Year 2026–27 to 2030–31, empowering it to design industry-oriented curricula, adopt innovative pedagogical practices, and enhance academic flexibility while maintaining the highest standards of education.
The institute offers:
- Six Undergraduate Engineering Programs with a total annual intake of 390 students
- Two Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) Programs with an annual intake of 60 students.
- Three Postgraduate Management Programs with a total annual intake of 210 students.
- One Postgraduate Engineering Program with an annual intake of 12 students.
- Five Diploma Programs in Engineering and Technology with a total annual intake of 420 students.
The institute is affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU), Lonere for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Engineering Programs, Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University (KBCNMU), Jalgaon for Postgraduate Management Programs, and Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE), Mumbai for Diploma Engineering Programs.
