The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), a project funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), provides e-learning through online Web and Video courses in Engineering, Sciences, Technology, Management and Humanities. This is a joint initiative by seven IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) and IISc Bangalore. NPTEL is one of the national coordinators of Ministry of HRD’s prestigious Study Webs of Active – Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM) programme. All courses offered by NPTEL are a part of SWAYAM.

NPTEL offers open online courses along with certificates from the IITs/IISc for those who complete the courses successfully. Many students are taking advantage of these exams to prepare for GATE exams and for higher studies too. UGC and AICTE are actively encouraging colleges and Universities to adopt online courses for credit transfer. NPTEL partners with around 3000+ colleges as on date in the form of NPTEL Local chapters.

NPTEL Local Chapter at KCES’s College of Engineering and Management, Jalgaonis actively encouraging all the students of Diploma, UG and PG to enrol for at least one certification per course. Goals of NPTEL local chapter at COEM are as follows-
•   To create theawareness about online courses and NPTEL which render technical education.
•   The objective is to enrol more students for onlinecourses.
• To educate and prepare students for technical and professionalexcellence and enable them to have better employment.

Instructions for registration:
1.  Visit the NPTEL course portal - https://nptel.ac.in/
2.  Choose the course you want to enrol.
3.  All registrants have to use their email id while filling their profile.
4.  While filling the Profile, give 'Yes ' in Are you a part of an NPTEL local chapter and choose our college name correctly from the drop down.
