Master of Agri Business Management
Agricultural Business Management is a highly emerging field on world scenario. Agriculture has acquired industrial status and the Agricultural Business is in need of professional managers. The changes in international policies of trade and increasing open market competition has made it changes in international policies of trade and increasing open market competition has made it mandatory to adopt the management principles in Agro-based industries. India has large number of assets of natural resources and human power, still we are unable to harvest these resources optimally. Through the course of Agri-Business Management, we look forward to build up the Nation through building career of students.
The need of the hour is to have Managers who understand the rural domain and have business aptitude. Managers having in depth knowledge of rural Finance, Marketing, Project Management, Social and Market Research Methodologies, Production, Processing, Marketing will be required in future.
Agriculture business management is a specialised management programme that focuses on the business aspect of agriculture production and its international trade. Agriculture Business Management assists the agricultural sector by providing professionals and business leaders.
About Course: (MBA in ABM)
MBA in Agri Business management is a 2 year Post Graduate course in the domain of agriculture business administration . To groom students as industry-ready professionals and entrepreneurs, top MBA College for agribusiness management, presents a well-designed course curriculum that teaches students how to use economic concepts and introduce them to the whole range of agronomic products and goods along with management tools to effectively identify, analyse, and solve problems in no time.
During the course of study students will come across various competent subjects such as Agribusiness and Rural Marketing, Managerial Economics, Financial management for Agri-Business, Research Methods in Agri-Business, Agri-Business Management Marketing, Management Principles & Values, Agro-chemicals and Technology Management, Fertilizer Technology and Management, Food Technology and Processing Management, Feed business Management, Post-Harvest Management and Supply Chain Management in Agriculture, etc. Alongside, special seminars in Agribusiness Management, Practical Training, and Research Project will also be a part of the course curriculum.
The MBA Agri course is a two year full time post graduate programme designed to equip Students with management skills to meet the challenges in the corporate Agri world. The Course is affiliated to North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. The course strives for holistic Development of students.
Eligibility
(1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate.—
(i) The candidate should be an Indian National;
(ii) Passed minimum three year duration Bachelor’s Degree awarded by any of the Universities recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent ( at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons With Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent;
(iii)BObtained score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.
(2) All India Candidature Candidate, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidate.—
(i) The candidate should be an Indian National;
(ii) Passed minimum three years duration Bachelor’s Degree awarded by the University recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent;
(iii) Obtained score in one of the following examinations;
a) CET conducted by the Competent Authority,
Common Admission Test conducted by Indian Institute of Management (CAT) or Common Management Aptitude Test conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (CMAT):
b) Provided for the academic year 2017-18, Obtained score in one of the following examinations;
CET conducted by the Competent Authority,
Graduate Management Aptitude Test Conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council, United States of America (GMAT),
Common Admission Test conducted by Indian Institute of Management (CAT),
Management Aptitude Test Conducted by All India Management Association (MAT),
Entrance Test for Management Admissions conducted by The Association of Indian Management Schools.(ATMA),
Xavier Aptitude Test conducted by Xavier School of Management Jamshedpur (XAT)
and Common Management Aptitude Test Conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (CMAT).
(3) NRI / OCI/ PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National.-
(i) Passed minimum Three years duration Bachelor’s Degree awarded by the University recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent;
(ii) Any other criterion declared by appropriate authority from time to time.
Admission Criteria
Admission to the MBA Program is conducted strictly under the guidelines of Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai. The candidate has to to undergo the procedure laid down by DTE. Admissions to MBA are conducted on the basis of highly competitive entrance exam (MBA-CET) conducted by DTE, Mumbai

The Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted every year by "Directorate Of Technical Education Mumbai” with due Notifications being published in Leading News Papers as well as on DTE's website in the month of January. CET Written Test is completed as per schedule from time to time. Some seats are also admitted through the CET conducted by AMMI (Association of Management of MBA/MMS Institutes) Maharashtra.
